Against the backdrop of current debates on migration and belonging, “Satoe-Gesegnete Heimat” tells the intertwined stories of 12 people between the ages of 3 and 83, with different cultural, linguistic, religious and social backgrounds and backgrounds, who all have their center of life in Germany. Heimat, often simplified, politically instrumentalized or stigmatized in public debate, our film ventures a complex and at the same time intimate examination of this ambivalent and deeply human place of longing.
