Lara-Sophie Milagro
I am an actress, writer, director, and producer with roots in Guyana and Germany.
As a passionate storyteller, I am committed to giving voice and visibility to new narratives in
cinema through intersectional perspectives.
Deeply influenced by artists such as May Ayim, Toni Morrison, Barry Jenkins, Channing
Dungey, Janet Mock, Hanelle Culpepper, and Ryan Coogler, I have developed a visionary
visual language and distinct aesthetic in my work as a director and producer.
With my debut feature film Emmett, German History X, I began shaping a cinematic voice
defined by ancestral storytelling and multi-layered narrative structures – celebrating the
beauty and complexity of diasporic and multicultural identities in the 21st century.
Current personal film & series gems:
Toni Erdmann, Moonlight, Concrete Cowboy, I May Destroy You, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,
Baby Reindeer, Bridgerton.
Dela Dabulamanzi
I’m an actress, voice artist, creator, and producer – a creative force in front of and behind the camera.
My work blends artistic craft with empowering, humorous, and visionary storytelling.
As a producer, I see it as my mission to amplify transcultural perspectives and create space for new narratives. I want to tell stories that surprise, move, and inspire people to see the world differently.
Inspired by voices like Issa Rae, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Michaela Coel, Trevor Noah, and Shonda Rhimes, I believe deeply in the power of multiple perspectives.
My passion lies in sensing the essence of a story – those subtle truths that make each narrative unique and meaningful.
